Gil is a highly experienced global IT executive with more than 30 years of experience. He brings a unique marriage of expertise in mobile and wireless technology with enterprise Cloud Customer Success solutions. During his career, he has amassed a track record of driving organizational renewal and driving growth through strategic rationalization of diverse product portfolios, resulting in double digit organic growth and 30% EBITDA growth within a multinational/multi-location organization. He has extensive experience in strategy, software, R&D, product management, sales, and marketing and has led successful M&A acquisitions and exits.
Gil was an executive with SunGard Data Systems, a privately held $5+ billion global leader in software and IT services, for 9 years. His time at SunGard culminated in the role of Group Chief Executive Officer of the Public Sector segment, with revenues of nearly $500 million and 2,400 employees across the US, UK, and India. Under Gil’s stewardship, the business delivered strong organic revenue growth (9.6% CAGR) and consistent EBITA (30%+ for US businesses, 20%+ for the combined group business segment). He also restructured business units and rationalized overlapping product lines eliminating redundant positions and centralized finance, HR, marketing and product management.
Previously, Gil served as President and Chief Executive Officer for SunGard HTE, a $100 million/500 employee business unit and a leading provider of software and services solutions for public safety and financial administrative segment of local and state government throughout the US. Gil joined SunGard when it acquired HTE, a $60 million regional local government ERP company focused on financial and public safety solutions, where he was Executive Vice President (Operations and Strategy). Prior to HTE, Gil was with Motorola, Inc. for 15 years, where he served in a variety of operations, strategy, and technology roles of increasing leadership within Motorola’s Land Mobile Product Sector.
Gil earned an MBA in International Business from the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Stuart School of Business and a BS cum laude in Electrical Engineering from the University of Miami. He is a Founding Member of the Orlando Performing Arts Center and served as Board Member and Treasurer of both Sweetwater Episcopal School (2012 – 2104) and the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools (2012-2013).
