Advances continue to be made in artificial intelligence (AI). In this article for CFO magazine, Affiliate Partner John Parkinson explores these AI advances and what they might mean to the future of many kinds of work. According to John, we’re getting close to the point where the various forms of AI can take over the more routine aspects of knowledge work—and in many cases do a better job of identifying errors and exceptions. AI will likely first show up as augmentation rather than automation, helping humans do better instead of replacing them. While we may not be able to see exactly what the future looks like, we should definitely be paying attention.
