James advises clients on growth strategy, go-to-market planning, and corporate development initiatives. James specializes in delivering value to technology companies through quantitative and qualitative analysis of markets, competitive landscapes, and organic and inorganic growth opportunities.
James joins Waterstone with four years of strategy experience in the software industry. Most recently, James was a Senior Analyst in the Corporate Development and Strategy group at Reval, a high-growth SaaS provider of corporate treasury software. James managed Reval’s strategic initiative program where he was responsible for building business cases and financial models for strategic initiatives including acquisitions, partnerships, expansion into new markets, and major product enhancements. He also served as project manager for Reval’s IPO preparation and managed business development for a newly created business unit.
James received an MBA with distinction from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business with emphases in Strategy and Marketing. He also holds a BA in Economics from Hamilton College.
