John is an experienced C-Level corporate and consulting executive, with a proven a track record of delivering breakthrough business, process, people and technology results with sustainable improved performance. With over 30 years of Information Technology experience, operating at all levels including being a CIO and Global Partner at Ernst & Young, John brings a unique perspective to Waterstone clients across the entire IT operations landscape emphasizing the use of business centric metrics and measures to deliver value-add solutions.
John served as a Global Account Partner at Ernst & Young where he provided IT advisory, operations and solution delivery services to fortune 100 companies. In this capacity he worked on a global basis with CIO’s to improve IT operations and deliver improved IT return-on-investment and overall performance. Following his position at Ernst & Young, John served as Sr. Vice President & General Manager for LogicaCMG North America, where he directed the development and execution of break-through service delivery solutions to improve client IT performance. Following LogicaCMG, John served as President & GM of Digital Media at a multi-billion dollar marketing and media service company where he was responsible for launching and growing the company’s digital media business including the invention, product development, marketing and branding of breakthrough patent pending technology solutions resulting in significant business growth over an 18 month period. In that role John leveraged his knowledge as a business executive and CIO to bridge the gap between business leaders and IT leaders to improve technology decision making, by focusing C-Level executives on key business drivers versus technology drivers.
Prior to serving as President of Digital Media, John was Chief Information Officer at a multi-billion dollar print manufacturing and media company where he directed all of the company’s transformation, process redesign and information technology efforts. In this role John routinely interfaced with the CEO, CFO, Board of Directors and Investors to create alignment and approval using metric driven business models to objectively demonstrate IT value. His unique blend of corporate and consulting experience, combined with his experience working with numerous hardware and software vendors to position and deliver business centric solutions enables John to work with Waterstone clients in positioning, marketing, selling and delivering their solutions to clients.
Prior to his work at Ernst and Young, Mr. Lieblang spent 11 years at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan driving IT and process improvement. He has been a speaker at the Midwest Technology Leaders conference, Detroit SIM Chapter and Michigan Council of Women in Technology. He is the CEO and Founder of Measured Value LLC where he has recently authored and developed a unique approach for technology leaders titled “The Measured Value Way: Guiding Leaders and Teams to Result Success”.
